Innovation in action
Predictive Safety Through AI
We are advancing safety through scalable AI technologies that support accident prevention. AI camera systems help detect risks early, while an emerging predictive platform analyzes operational data to foresee incidents. We are also piloting autonomous robots which patrol sites, capture critical data, and identify anomalies. These innovations strengthen proactive maintenance, reduce hazards and enhance CRH’s people‑first safety culture.
Developing our Talent
In 2025, CRH expanded the Management Essentials Program (MEP), its first fully virtual global development program for people managers. Reaching ~2,800 mid‑level leaders in eight languages, MEP builds skills in communication, team development, and values‑based leadership through virtual cohorts. The program strengthens performance, inclusivity, and engagement and forms a unified foundation for leadership growth, supporting CRH’s broader strategy to develop strong, future‑ready managers across the business.
Empowering the Next Generation
CRH’s operating companies engage with students to build future skills and strengthen community ties, facilitating ~4,070 educational interactions over two years. Romcim and Ferrobeton, both CRH Companies, partnered with technical schools to create pathways, combining classroom learning with hands‑on industry experience. The initiative supports local employment, ensures knowledge transfer and helps sustain skilled workforces in the communities where we operate.
